In our early years of marriage, my husband and I were very physically active in a variety of different sports.  After a few years of just “us,” we decided it was time to grow our family. But after having our first son, we found it very difficult to fit in the exercise routine we had before children.  Then, after our second son was born, my abdominal muscle had separated so severely that several doctors were recommending surgery to close the gap.  I was about 3 months postpartum when I saw a sign for HighAltitude Crossfit after a Costco run.  I made my husband turn the car around so we could drive by and get the number.  The following day I started CROSSFIT and it has been such a blessing in my life.  Over the past year, my abs have closed up without surgery, my overall strength has improved significantly, and I have returned to my pre-pregnancy weight!  THANK YOU Jason (Jake) for bringing CROSSFIT to the valley as it really is changing lives for the better. - Kristina


HighAltitude CrossFit has been a lifesaver for me.  After a live-fire training accident, I sustained permanent nerve damage to my right arm and was subsequently medically separated from the Navy SEAL teams.  When I transitioned back to civilian life, I desperately missed the physical part of my former job and the camaraderie that came along with it.  Then I discovered CrossFit.  Although I am unable to do some of the exercises because of my injury, the HACF instructors constantly find alternatives that are effective and have made me stronger.  HACF has filled a much needed void in my life.  THANK YOU!!!  - Andy


I have been training at this Crossfit affiliate for about 8 months.  I had thought about joining after training with my brother-in-law who often got his workouts from the main website but it took me about 4 months to build up the courage to actually make the call. I am an ex college athlete and after turning 30 and getting engaged I kind of let myself go and was about 15 pounds over my preferred wait. Doing my own workouts at the gym wasn’t cutting it anymore. Once I did my trial workout to see what it was about I was instantly hooked.  It was a tough few months with the taste of blood in my lungs and burning after every workout.  I kept wondering if it was going to get easier and when would  the burning stop.  It has gotten easier as time went on but it still the most challenging workout of my life. Within the first 2 months I dropped almost 18 pounds but more importantly I lost inches and I felt great.  I can honestly say I have never been in better shape.  I think the best thing about CrossFit is it is a way of life and I live and breathe it every day. I make sure to get there 5 days and week and I love journal to see the improvements I have made.  My best day was first day I RXd a WOD that contained pull-ups, that was until I RXd Fran.  There really is nothing like that feeling of success and achievement you have after completing a WOD.  Its also been a great way to meet people, you really feel like you belong to a community.

I imagine my friends, colleagues, and family are tired of hearing about how wonderful CrossFit is and what is has done for me.  It truly is amazing and I can definitely say I am a Crossfitter for life.

I have been going to CrossFit for almost 9 months now and it has really made a positive impact on my life and my husband’s. Bryan and I have been married for 12 years and I have never really been able to get him to work out. He has now been at HACF for almost 6 months and he even gets up at 4:30am to workout, thank you Jesse for continuing to motivate him daily. He is amazing shape and is even thinking about trying a Triathlon with me this summer. I have made some great personal gains myself, I have lost close to 40lbs and went from a size 20 and I am currently in a 14! Jake is amazing coach and the HACF team is so motivating to be around. It has improved my triathlon results and increased my endurance. After having 3 children it has been a struggle to get fit again, but Crossfit has made it so much easier. I on the road to becoming stronger and looking toned and slim. It has become a positive addiction for me! Thanks again Jake, Cassidy, and Jesse for all you do! - Nikki


I have been doing crossfit now for about 5 months and my improvements on the whiteboard and in the mirror are very visible. Not only have i gone from 215 lbs. to about 195 but i have gotten slimmer and stronger. I have also seen my PR times drop drastically for example my first 5k which was a couple months in was 23:58 and the next time which was not too much after that was 21:46 and countless other milestones. But what crossfit has done for me is given me unbelievable confidence in all aspects of life. I feel like i can take on the world sometimes not only with school, but with girls and people in general. I feel like i can walk with my head high knowing i worked hard for what i have and know that i can do things people can only wish to do. So I raise my glass and cheers to you Crossfit and all those who do it.
